Many of you may wonder why I’m running for office. I’m running because I’ve been a resident of this county for my entire life. I was born in Sarasota, and my family and I moved to North Port when I was four. My fiance and I now own a home in North Port. I’m dedicated to this community and all that it can be. I’m passionate about helping people, and doing the best I can each and every day to make the world a better place. My goal is to “Re-Imagine Government.” This means that I want government to operate the way it was designed. Government is supposed to be of, by, and for the people. I intend to represent you, and only you- not any special interests. I’m dedicated to fighting for what’s right, not what’s easy. I will work with people to get things done, not fight and bicker just because someone may be in a different party or think differently than I do. I want us to work together to get things done or the citizens of this county. You can count on me; I will do my best. Being an elected official would be an honor, and I will do my best to bring honor and dignity to the position of County Commissioner. With gratitude…I’m Cory.
