David's Bio
David Dean and his wife Jacqueline moved to Sarasota in 2019 and live here full time. Previously, David worked for over 30 years at a Fortune 100 Life Sciences corporation as a Research Associate and a Scientific Applications Developer. He holds a BA and MS in Chemistry from Amherst College and Yale University. In between undergraduate and graduate studies, he volunteered with the Peace Corp Zaire, Africa (now D.R. Congo) as a science teacher.
David was elected to the Sarasota Democratic Party Officer’s Board as Secretary in December and then as Party Chair in March. Now fully retired from corporate work, David is enjoying applying his varied experience to the complex and rewarding work of helping the party to rebuild in 2025 for success in the 2026 elections and beyond.
