“SAVE OLD MIAKKA” – ATTEND THE SEPT. 15th, 5pm COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING – Join the activists of “Keep the Country Country”.

The Sarasota County Planning Commission will hear from the owners of Lakewood Ranch, the details of a proposed urban sprawl project that would replace 4,000 acres of pasture land in east Sarasota County with up to 5,000 luxury homes. The activists defending our countryside (“Keep the Country Country”) hired a lawyer who produced a lengthy list of concerns.

These activists need you –  volunteers to use their three minutes of public input to read a segment of that list. The hearing is quasi-judicial; that means you will have to make sure to state the mere facts, not opinions. PLEASE WEAR YELLOW!
