With his “American Jobs Plan”, President Joe Biden created an ambitious program to tackle climate change and create well-paying jobs at the same time. As much of Biden’s plan is winding its way through Congress — in part through the bipartisan infrastructure bill, in part through the budget reconciliation process — it becomes increasingly likely we in Sarasota will see billion-dollar opportunities to reshape transportation, our water and sewage systems, the way we generate and consume electricity, and the way we get Internet access. Time to start telling local voters about this, time to plan and advocate!
