Our guest speaker is Carol Conyne Rescigno, current President of the Brady Sarasota Chapter. We’ll learn how we can work for better gun laws and raise awareness about firearms safety. Brady organization is one of the oldest (over 45 years) and boldest gun violence prevention groups in the US. They have a comprehensive plan to deliver life-saving change and solutions to keep us all safe.

Carol is a graduate of the University of Florida and a career newspaper editor – first at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune and then, for more than 30 years, at Newsday in New York. She was responsible over time for local, national, and international news. After Newsday, she taught at Stony Brook University before she and her husband retired to Sarasota.
