Fiermonte, who is now retired, ran Sander’s Vermont field office and was a top leader in Sander’s presidential campaigns.  “Throughout his life, from his student days at UVM to the present, Phil has been in the forefront in the fight for economic, social, racial and environmental justice,” said Sanders upon Fiermonte’s retirement.  Fiermonte, who lives in Sarasota County for part of the year, will address how we as Democrats can build  a strong  movement to counter the domination of the GOP in both Sarasota and Florida.
