The Uncertain Future of Human Rights

On December 6 at 6:30 pm a special program in honor of the 74th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights will be presented by the Sarasota World Affairs Council. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations in Paris on December 10, 1948.  It was the first international agreement on the basic principles of human rights.  This coming December 10 is World Human Rights Day.
Join us at the New College of Florida – Sainer Auditorium when Ambassador KELLEY CURRIE will discuss the The Uncertain Future of Human Rights. A human rights lawyer and the Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues in 2020-21, she is uniquely qualified to discuss the global human rights movement and the unprecedented stresses it now faces.
