Dear Voters:
If you are unhappy with Publix’s decision to permit open carry in their stores, please read below, and the 2 attachments.
Add Dettweiler's to the list of stores that permit Open Carry Firearms.
For those of you (us) who are concerned about Publix's decision to explicitly permit open carry of weapons in its stores (as opposed to prohibiting them, which is its right), I recommend that you read the attached letter which my friend Scott Brownell wrote to Publix's general counsel. Some of you know or know of Scott. For those who don't, he's an attorney, a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator, and previously served for 30 years as a Circuit Judge for the 12th Judicial Circuit in Florida.
