No Kings, No Dictators: Venice Protesters Raise Their Voices for Democracy

VENICE, FL - June 14, 2025

No Kings Day protesters turned out in solidarity in Venice on Saturday along the streets surrounding Biehl Park at Tampa Ave and Tamiami Trail. The turnout was higher than the two Hands Off protests the month before when crowd sizes exceeded over 1,200.

A jubilant crowd chanted “No Kings and No Dictators” and waved signs in opposition to President Trump’s dictatorial rants and purges of immigrants rounded up and not granted due process.

A small band of about a half-dozen Trump loving MAGA Proud Boys, stood on a street corner away from the center of protests waving an American flag and carrying a sign that read “Protesters Were Paid.”  Several No Kingsers asked them “where do we get our money?”  And of course, they had no answer to that question.  No violence was reported at our protest and an overwhelming number of vehicles honked and waved in support of us.
