SAVE DEMOCRACY FOR ALL

As chairperson of the Suncoast Citizens for Separation of Church and State, I am pleased to announce an important event, and you are invited to attend. 

SAVE DEMOCRACY FOR ALL, sponsored by the Social Justice Alliance of the Florida Suncoast, of which SC4SCS is a member, will take place on March 28, 2026 at the Venice Community Center. Registration begins at 8 AM and the program begins at 9 AM.

The keynote speaker of the event is Katherine Stewart, the author of three books on Christian Nationalism. Her latest book, Money, Lies, and God: Inside the Movement to Destroy American Democracy, has been featured in the New York Times. Her second book, The Power Worshipers, was produced as a documentary by the acclaimed producer and actor, Rob Reiner. If you would like to learn more about her, I have attached a copy of her biography. 

In addition to her presentation, there will be five workshops. The topics include the following: Free and Fair Elections, Civil Discourse, Religious Freedom and Democracy, Humane Immigration, and Protect Our Public Schools. To maximize the benefit for each attendee, the workshlops be led by individuals with expertise in that subject matter. 

Although there is no charge to attend this event, but I am sure you understand that an event of this magnitude is very expensive to produce. If possible, please make a contribution to help defray the substantial costs. There are two (2) ways to contribute.
